A Letter to Our Patients - Arizona

An open letter from Dr. Scot Hutchison, fertility doctor Tucson, AZ

Dear Patients and Referring Physicians,

High quality fertility medicine is the result of team effort. To achieve high pregnancy rates, consistent top performance is required from the front desk to the laboratory, and all areas in between. Weakness in one area lowers the number of patients who conceive and degrades the experience for all involved.

Proof of our high performance: we are the only Optum Centers of Excellence (www.myoptumhealthcomplexmedical.com) in Tucson and Southern Arizona. This recognition was in response to our having the best overall fertility treatment outcomes in our area. In addition, we are the only Best Doctors recognized fertility program in Tucson and Southern Arizona, and we have been on the Best Doctors list since 2005 (http://www.tucsonlifestyle.com/index.php?src=gendocs&ref=BestDoctors and www.BestDoctors.com).

Although I am the Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, we are a fully independent practice with no obligation to any institution or corporation. You can be assured that your fertility treatment recommendations are not influenced by corporate interests.

Here at Reproductive Health Center, we have been successful in establishing an outstanding team of experienced fertility medicine workers, and this is why we have achieved our high pregnancy rates and low complication rates. Our newest coworker has been with us for 5 years; the majority of us have worked together for over 10 years. Our senior embryologist, Jose Hernandez, PhD, HCLD, has over 25 years of experience in human embryology and our junior embryologist, Tresa White, BS has over 20. Intracystoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), blastocyst culture, preimplantation genetic screening and diagnosis (PGS, PGD) have now been performed expertly in our practice for many years. I have been providing infertility care for the last 20 years following completion of my fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and am board-certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology.

We look forward to working hard to help you achieve your family building goals.

Scot M. Hutchison, MD
