Cost of Fertility Treatment - Phoenix AZ

Cost of Fertility Treatment Tucson, AZ

At Reproductive Health Center, we believe that patients deserve real information about the cost of fertility treatment at our Tucson, AZ fertility clinic. Many fertility clinics don’t offer any specific pricing information on their websites, and may also “nickel and dime” their patients by advertising one price for a treatment, but then adding fee after fee for every small part of the treatment.

We do things differently. We want to be completely transparent with our patients about what their treatment will cost, so that they can plan ahead of time. When we state the cost of fertility treatment, we include all of the parts of that treatment, so you can be confident that you won’t end up owing more unexpectedly. If we do recommend a treatment with an additional cost, we’ll inform you of that ahead of time. You’ll never be surprised by what you owe for your fertility treatment at our Tucson clinic serving Phoenix and surrounding communities.

Terms

Oocyte = human egg

IVF = in vitro fertilization which includes: follicle puncture and aspiration to remove the oocytes, identification of the oocytes from the follicular fluid, fertilization of the oocytes and culture to the blastocyst stage (day 5 or 6).

ICSI = intracytoplasmic sperm injection (injecting the sperm into the oocyte)

Assisted hatching = AH, a procedure where a small hole is made in the egg membrane just prior to transfer or freezing of the embryo.

PGS/CCT = preimplantation genetic testing and comprehensive chromosome testing, a procedure to test the embryos for their chromosome make up. A few cells are biopsied out of the embryo at the blastocyst stage prior to freezing. The cells are then sent to a reference laboratory where they are tested to see if they have the correct number of chromosomes to produce a healthy pregnancy.

PGD = Preimplantation genetic diagnosis, a procedure similar to PGS, only the biopsy cells are tested for a specific abnormal gene

Cryopreservation = a process where oocytes, sperm or embryos are frozen for use in the future.

Cycle Monitoring = the ultrasounds and blood tests that monitor the progress of either an IUI cycle or IVF cycle.

IUI = intrauterine insemination, where sperm is washed and then transferred to the uterus

Embryo transfer = the ultrasound assisted procedure where the embryo is transferred to the uterus using a flexible catheter
