No two patients are alike, so your fertility treatment plan is based on who you are, your lifestyle and your unique situation. Here are some of the most common fertility treatments at our Arizona clinic serving Tucson, Phoenix, Mesa, and surrounding communities.

Ovulation Induction

Women who don’t ovulate regularly have trouble conceiving a baby. Various medications can help to induce ovulation. These may be used on their own as a fertility treatment, and are also used as part of other treatments, such as IVF.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

In some cases, infertility can be effectively treated through IUI. This method can also be used (along with donor sperm) by lesbian couples who want to become parents.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

IVF can be used to treat a wide variety of different causes of infertility. Success rates have been rising as technology advances. Couples undergoing IVF treatment have the option of choosing preimplantation genetic screening (PGS), which checks for genetic diseases in the embryos before they’re implanted. In some cases, embryos are implanted during the cycle in which they’re created; more commonly, embryos are frozen for use when the uterus is receptive.

Donor Gametes

While most couples would prefer to use their own eggs and sperm to create their children, this isn’t an option for all couples. Donor gametes (eggs and sperm) can be used for those couples who can’t use their own eggs and sperm, allowing them to become parents.

Glossary of Fertility Terms

To ensure that everything you learn about your treatment is clear to you, we’ve provided a handy and extensive glossary of terms that might come up in regards to your fertility diagnosis and treatment. We’re also very happy to explain anything that isn’t clear; please feel free to ask!
