Dr. Scot Hutchison
Dr. HutchisonDr. Scot Hutchison, MD began his career upon graduating from the University of Arizona with a degree in biology. He then attended medical school at the University of Kansas where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree.

Dr. Hutchison’s expertise comes from a robust post-graduate education that includes completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Kansas with a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Additionally, he studied at the acclaimed Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, and was also their co-Director of Assisted Reproductive Technologies.

Dr. Hutchison belongs to several professional organizations, including:

  • The American Society of Reproductive Medicine
  • The Society for Male Reproduction and Urology
  • The Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology
  • The Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility

Membership in The Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility is strictly limited to physicians who have been certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the subspecialty of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. To date, fewer than 800 physicians worldwide have achieved this special distinction.

Dr. Hutchison has assembled a select group of professionals to assist in patient treatment. Collectively we share his enthusiasm and dedication to helping patients achieve their reproductive goals.

Holly Hutchison, MS
HollyHolly Hutchison, MS is Reproductive Health Center’s managing partner. It is Holly who knows this world from every side. She belongs to multiple professional associations and runs our entire IVF program. Holly graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in biology. She continued her education in the University’s Department of Genetics where she completed her Master’s degree. Holly worked as a clinical cytogeneticist at University Medical Center (UMC) and was involved in genetic research until she saw her first human egg. From that point on, she knew she had to work in the reproductive endocrinology and infertility field. She spent the next few years as a research specialist assisting the chief embryologist at UMC and ultimately persuaded her brother, Dr. Hutchinson, to form the Reproductive Health Center. We’re very thankful for her sisterly advice.

Dr. Jose Hernandez, PhD, Lab Director
Dr. Jose HernandezDr. Jose Hernandez, PhD, affectionately known as Dr. H, is a pioneer of in vitro fertilization. He began his career as a doctor of veterinary medicine and earned his degree from the Universidad Veracruzana in Vera Cruz, Mexico, while specializing in bovine reproductive physiology.

Dr. H’s storied career is vast. Upon his move to the United States, he received his Master of Science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in reproductive endocrinology. He then received his PhD from Washington State University, training in in vitro fertilization, embryo and gamete micromanipulation, and cryopreservation of eggs and embryos. Following that, he earned a post-doctoral position at University of Missouri-Columbia focusing on producing massive quantities of bovine embryos in vitro for research and commercial applications.

Like Dr. Hutchison, Dr. Hernandez has a scientific résumé that rivals many. He’s double-board certified as a High Complexity Laboratory Director in Embryology and Andrology and a member of several scientific and professional associations. Dr. H. is also very skilled in many highly specialized reproductive techniques such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection, assisted hatching and embryo biopsy for pre-implantation genetic diagnosis.

Tresa White, BS, TS (ABB), Senior Embryologist
Tresa WhiteTresa White, BS, TS (ABB) – Technical Supervisor, is the backbone of the embryology and andrology team. With 10+ years of hands-on experience and training by the leading fertility specialists in the field, her technical experience and clinical laboratory procedural expertise is second to none. Combined with her near-obsessive attention to detail, she’s the person who helps make our lab superior.

Tresa received her B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona and joined the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the College of Medicine while a student. After completing her degree, she worked for University Physicians, Inc. as embryologist, andrologist and hormone assay technician and earned her certification as a Technical Supervisor in embryology and andrology.

Randi Weinstein, PhD
RandiRandi Weinstein, PhD – Egg Donor and IVF Coordinator, earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She left the bitter cold of Buffalo and attended the University of California, Berkeley where she received her Ph.D. in Integrative Biology. Following several years of post-doctoral research at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Stanford University and the University of Arizona, Randi joined the faculty of the Department of Physiology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. During her research career in the field of comparative biochemistry and physiology, Randi authored 17 peer-reviewed research papers, review articles and book chapters. She also received grant funding from the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.

Randi’s life and career took a major detour as a result of her personal experience with infertility. Prior to joining the Reproductive Health Center she had 2 1/2 years of infertility-related work experience as a consultant for a national egg donor agency and the leader of a local infertility support group. Randi also began teaching Reproductive Physiology at the University of Arizona, a role she continues to enjoy. Randi uses her personal and professional experience to assist with the coordination of IVF cases and egg donor cycles.

Integrated medicine staff ~ A holistic approach – Fertility Clinic Tucson

The science of fertility is an area in which we excel. We also realize there’s a very important aspect or holistic side to the science. Because we know that without good physical health and some level of mind-body balance, having a baby is more difficult. At Reproductive Health Center, our fertility clinic Tucson, we have two esteemed professionals on staff that practice this very important approach to family planning.

Dr. Mark Gilbert, MD, FRCP(c)
Dr. Mark GilbertDr. Mark Gilbert, MD, FRCP(c) – Dr. Gilbert currently practices psychiatry at the University of Arizona Medical Center. He also runs the Integrated Medicine and Mind-Body Medicine Skills Group here in Tucson. He graduated with a degree in Psychiatry from the University of California after earning his Medical Degree at the University of Ottawa, Canada. As a lecturer at the University of Toronto, Dr. Gilbert taught the Family Therapy Program at the Hospital for Sick Children for almost a decade, taking special interest in consultation to families affected by physical illness.

Dr. Gilbert studied at Harvard’s Deaconess Mind-Body Medicine Program, Georgetown University’s Mind-Body Program, UCSF’s Healer’s Art Program and the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, D.C.

During his distinguished career, Dr. Gilbert opened and co-directed one of the first public integrated medicine clinics in Canada, later establishing a Mind-Body Program for a large health care center in downtown Toronto. He then opened Mind-Body Medicine Canada and the Integrated Pain Treatment Center before joining the Psychiatry Department at the University of Arizona as Director of the Consultation-Liaison Program. He then served as the Director of the Mind-Body Medicine Skills Group Program at the Arizona Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Gilbert runs the Mind-Body program at RHC to help patients understand the importance of a comprehensive whole-body approach to infertility therapy. This is a new and exciting way of treating infertility using complementary practices of healing and wellness with high-tech advances in laboratory science.

Della Estrada, Licensed Acupuncturist
Della EstradaDella is a pioneer in the field of Integrated Medicine, having trained at Guang An Men Hospital Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China with some of the leading world experts of Chinese Medicine.

Della is currently the Chairwoman of the Arizona Acupuncture State Board of Examiners and is the Acupuncture Supervisor for La Frontera Behavioral Health Services Acu-Detox Specialists. She has served as the Clinical Dean at the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine where she has been an instructor for the past 8 years. Della served as a research fellow in two National Institutes of Health-sponsored studies with the University of Arizona Psychology Department investigating the use of acupuncture in depression. She has also participated in a pilot study for La Frontera Behavioral Health Services on the use of acupuncture stimulation for addiction disorders.

She joins the Reproductive Health Center team to help improve the function of reproductive organs to reduce the stress people feel surrounding infertility and to aid healing and overall well-being.

Hana Feeney, MS, RD, CSSD
Hana Abdulaziz Feeney is the owner of the functional nutrition private practice, Nourishing Results, LLC. It is her passion to empower others to create positive nutrition and lifestyle changes that result in the achievement of one’s goals.

Hana has acquired a strong scientific and analytic education with degrees in Exercise Science and Nutritional Sciences. She is a Registered Dietitian and a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. She has a unique approach to helping people cope with and overcome digestive health problems, infertility, diabetes, and achieving weight goals and enhancing sport performance.

At the University of Arizona Campus Health Service and as a Nutritionist at world-renowned Canyon Ranch Health Resort, Hana has experience motivating people of all ages, all with differing health goals to make positive changes in their lives.

Our office staff – Fertility Clinic Tucson

Keeping our clinic running smoothly and effectively is key to our success (and yours). The Reproductive Health Center team goes well beyond the daily functions of office and clinic operations. Highly devoted, professional and friendly, they help with appointments, labs and scheduling and are always ready with a warm and friendly smile.

Pamela Thomas d’Auteuil
PamelaPamela Thomas d’Auteuil, Dr. Hutchison’s medical assistant, brings with her 13+ years of clinical experience in infertility. Prior to joining Reproductive Health Center, she set up two new clinics and offers extensive experience in all aspects of fertility treatment including coordination of care. Pamela wears many hats and is responsible for many duties including laboratory assistant, phlebotomy, patient care and even backing up Joanna at the front desk.

Conchita Rosas Alexander
ConchitaConchita Rosas Alexander comes to us from Ciudad Obregon, located about eight hours from Tucson, in Mexico. Conchita earned her degree in Accounting and Marketing from the Instituto Tecnologico de Sonora and handles all of our patient and insurance billing, accounting and auditing. She also helps coordinate care for our Spanish-speaking patients and translates for Dr. Hutchison. Because we have a large Hispanic population in Southern Arizona, Conchita’s personality, work experience and bilingual skills make her an important and loving asset to our team.

Joanna Jongsma
JoannaJoanna Jongsma graduated from Cal State, Long Beach with a degree in Health Science. She is our front desk coordinator and is in charge of scheduling, reception and insurance information. Joanna is the first person you meet when you come to our clinic and she makes a great first impression. Her competency and grace put our patients at ease and she does everything with a smile.

Joan Dahnke
JoanJoan Dahnke was born and raised in West Allis, Wisconsin, and moved to Tucson 20 years ago with her husband and two children to thaw out from the Midwestern chill. Joan has a broad base of experience in computer data entry, payroll and office management and has worked for 12 years for the Veteran’s Administration and Social Security Administration. After moving to Tucson, she worked for 17 years for a private church school as their office manager bringing her efficient administration skills to RHC to keep us running smoothly and efficiently.

Carol Peterson
Carol Peterson is a vital part of our front line team. She helps our patients with insurance questions, complex prior authorization communications and, in general, will be a smiling and helpful greeter for everyone. Carol’s first experience with us was as a patient, giving her an insider’s perspective on the challenges our clients face on this journey. It has been our pleasure to have her as a part of our team.
